About Us
The DNA of our brand originates from California, USA, the home state of our founder, Kyle Dagan. As a husband and father of 3 girls currently residing in Rhode Island, USA, he is passionate about creating a company that sets a precedence for positive action through the team. Coming from a competitive soccer background and transitioning into triathlon, it was fitting his current lifework is surrounded with athletics, family, and community. The Born Bound team also resides in the UK and Asia. We are worldly unique with multiple keen IronMan triathletes on our team, all with a long-term career in sourcing fabrics, materials, and developing products for sports. We felt compelled to put all our experience into making premium triathlon products, while we utilize and develop sustainable manufacturing techniques, fabrics, and materials. We are the epitome of the Born Bound story, we believe that with a combination of determination and passion, we were destined on this journey together. Born Bound loves our planet, and takes a highly responsible approach to sourcing, production, and manufacturing, especially when triathlon as a sport takes in land and water. With our existing products, we challenged ourselves to reduce our carbon footprint and take responsibility for how we produce, pack, and ship our products. As for our future products, we will strive to become fully sustainable, such as our seamless knit pieces that will be created from recycled ocean plastics.

Our dream is for you to feel in a dream state when it comes to functionality and performance with the products. The fabrics and construction with Born Bound products are state-of-the-art, and we will always challenge the status quo through testing and continued development, as this is the lifeblood of our product team. With many years of experience working for some of the world’s leading sports brands between us, we’d love to inspire and bring you on our next journey with us. Born Bound wants more than anything, for you to be able to perform at your very best when wearing our products and feel good about how the materials that go into them are responsibly sourced, put together, and packaged.

Sustainability
Born Bound was built upon a passion for life’s journey and helping free our inner athlete. We feel bound to fulfil our responsibility towards being kinder to our planet. We are a brand committed to source and use of sustainable textiles wherever possible. In addition to us asking what you are made of as an athlete, we ask ourselves what our products are made of. We only create performance products that help our customers compete at their highest level, which requires the latest technology in textiles and new methodologies for incorporating either recycled or organic materials. Born Bound is committed to incorporate superior fabrics and yarns as they become more available.
environmental contribution
Many of us feel passionate about the sea and open water, and that is very true for many of the BornBound team. In addition to the founder growing up on the beaches of California, our UK team members are based in North Devon, an area awarded the accolade of being just one of 12 World Surf Reserves. Our photoshoot took place on and around Woolacombe Beach, where it is surrounded by stunning running and cycling. Plastic Free North Devon is the chosen charity for our UK sales, and 1% of all net sales will go to the charity. BornBound is also the sponsor for the charity's own event, the Croyde Ocean Triathlon. With such deep rooted ties to these parts of the world, we are passionate about working with Ocean Plastics based charities and ensuring that our products match the environmental standards they set.
